INTRODUCING CHL-TV

CAMP HIGHLIGHT'S WACKY WEBSHOW IS READY FOR ITS CLOSE UP

When the world went indoors in March 2020, it was difficult for our Camp Highlight families and campers. That year was wrought with feelings of detachment and separation. During our Intermission, we learned that connection in our camp community is more important than ever.

CHL-TV is a new digital series led by cast members and Camp Highlight summer counselors Parker, Phil, Shomari, and Joy. Once a month, the CHL-TV team will connect Highlighters and their families all over the nation in virtual fun and content! The team has created segments inspired by the spirit of Camp Highlight. From Weird Science to Arts and Crafts, to funny sketches and camp jokes. Highlight families can join in the fun by submitting their own funny videos and updates. CHL-TV is ready to bring the Camp Highlight experience to the comfort of your home!

Highlighters and families can email chltv@camphighlight.com for info on how to submit videos and how to view the show!

Please stand by...for fun!

Staff Stories: Parker

Spending a week at Camp Highlight is life changing. I was definitely a little nervous , but it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Getting to spend a week at camp watching some of the coolest, funniest, most resilient small humans on the planet grow; getting to help mentor them and cheer them on; getting to help cheer them up when they might be feeling down; getting to help teach them things like conflict resolution; getting to help them really think about the impact they want to have on the world; and being able to help create a safe place for the campers to be entirely themselves without fear of judgment of any kind is a feeling I can’t really quite put into words. It’s humbling and amazing and beautiful, and spending a week at Camp Highlight made me want to be a better person. Being surrounded by such diverse, amazing people from the campers to the staff is both a gift and an honor as far as I’m concerned, and it’s a week I’ll never forget.

Camp Highlight is now hiring enthusiastic and engaging counselors for the week of camp. You must be at least 19 years old, have a love for children, camp, and the LGBTQ community. Apply here!
