INTRODUCING CHL-TV

CAMP HIGHLIGHT'S WACKY WEBSHOW IS READY FOR ITS CLOSE UP

When the world went indoors in March 2020, it was difficult for our Camp Highlight families and campers. That year was wrought with feelings of detachment and separation. During our Intermission, we learned that connection in our camp community is more important than ever.

CHL-TV is a new digital series led by cast members and Camp Highlight summer counselors Parker, Phil, Shomari, and Joy. Once a month, the CHL-TV team will connect Highlighters and their families all over the nation in virtual fun and content! The team has created segments inspired by the spirit of Camp Highlight. From Weird Science to Arts and Crafts, to funny sketches and camp jokes. Highlight families can join in the fun by submitting their own funny videos and updates. CHL-TV is ready to bring the Camp Highlight experience to the comfort of your home!

Highlighters and families can email chltv@camphighlight.com for info on how to submit videos and how to view the show!

Please stand by...for fun!

We did it again!

Camp Highlight 2017

Once again, Camp Highlight was a magical, educational, and thrilling adventure! For one week, 59 campers met with old friends and made new ones.

There were dozens of activities to choose from. Sports oriented campers signed up for old favorites like Ultimate Frisbee, soccer, and football and new takes on old standbys: Blind Volleyball, Battleball, and (of course) Quidditch! 2017 was the first year of our MakerSpace! Campers were encouraged to construct anything they could imagine from wood, rubber bands, glue, string, and more. The creativity continued in arts and crafts, painting, and even a drag tutorial! With so much to do, boredom was abolished for a full week!

Having fun is just as important as becoming a better person and "shining brighter." Highlighters proved they were up to the task by practicing their Virtues: peace, honesty, generosity, acceptance, respect, courage, responsibility, cooperation, and unity. Together, they helped create an atmosphere of compassion and kindness. Campers became more independent, confident, and socially skilled as the week went on.

Camp Highlight may be over but the community is still here! Mark your calendar with our upcoming events!
