INTRODUCING CHL-TV

CAMP HIGHLIGHT'S WACKY WEBSHOW IS READY FOR ITS CLOSE UP

When the world went indoors in March 2020, it was difficult for our Camp Highlight families and campers. That year was wrought with feelings of detachment and separation. During our Intermission, we learned that connection in our camp community is more important than ever.

CHL-TV is a new digital series led by cast members and Camp Highlight summer counselors Parker, Phil, Shomari, and Joy. Once a month, the CHL-TV team will connect Highlighters and their families all over the nation in virtual fun and content! The team has created segments inspired by the spirit of Camp Highlight. From Weird Science to Arts and Crafts, to funny sketches and camp jokes. Highlight families can join in the fun by submitting their own funny videos and updates. CHL-TV is ready to bring the Camp Highlight experience to the comfort of your home!

Highlighters and families can email chltv@camphighlight.com for info on how to submit videos and how to view the show!

Please stand by...for fun!

Staff Stories: Maggie

I joined the Camp Highlight staff because of the huge impact my counselors made on me when I attended sleep away camp as a child. Reflecting on the fun times and amazing relationships I had formed, I did not hesitate to join the staff of this incredible camp. After three summers as a Camp Highlight counselor, I have formed amazing memories with each camper, pushed myself to try new things, and have accepted and practiced the virtues more in my own life. Through the summers and outside events at Camp Highlight, I am always finding myself growing as a person as well as having positive impacts on the campers’ lives. The campers at Camp Highlight inspire me everyday and I am always surprised by their actions and choices to use the virtues both at camp and in their lives. The campers have welcomed the virtues into their lives and are constantly making their communities shine brighter. These children have shown me what true acceptance and love of yourself can look like, and I am forever grateful to have met every single one of them. Camp Highlight is my favorite time of the year and I look forward to any event that I get to see some campers and hear about their growth from the previous summer. Joining the Camp Highlight staff team was one of the best choices I’ve made, and I look forward to what it will bring me in the future.
